Federal Judge CAUGHT In Affair Inside Her Own Courthouse

Representative Clay Fuller has introduced articles of impeachment against U.S. District Judge Eleanor Ross, accusing the Obama-appointed federal judge of engaging in sexual misconduct inside her courthouse chambers and lying to investigators about her conduct.

Shocking Allegations Rock Federal Courthouse

Judge Ross allegedly conducted an extramarital affair with a high-ranking Atlanta Police Department official inside her federal courthouse chambers during office hours. According to the investigative findings, these encounters occurred within earshot of her judicial staff, including law clerks who worked directly for her. The judge presided over active criminal cases during this period, creating what investigators described as a major conflict of interest that left Ross vulnerable to potential extortion. The married judge, whose husband serves as a DeKalb County judge and former prosecutor, also attended a partisan political event hosted by a district attorney’s campaign.

Representative Fuller, a freshman Republican from Georgia, announced Friday that he will formally introduce the impeachment articles on Monday. Working alongside Representative Jim Jordan, Fuller stated that Ross has no place in power and is unfit to serve on the federal bench. The impeachment effort focuses on material false statements Ross made during the investigation into her conduct.

Federal Investigation Uncovers Pattern of Deception

On September 30, 2025, Eleventh Circuit Chief Judge William Pryor identified a complaint from a law clerk in Ross’s office and appointed a Special Committee to investigate the allegations. During questioning, Ross falsely claimed she had never engaged in sexual intercourse in her office or anywhere else in the courthouse. She also stated she was not sure who the allegations concerned or whether they involved different individuals. These statements proved demonstrably false, prompting significant investigative action by the Special Committee.

Ross eventually admitted her falsehoods to the Special Committee, but only after investigators had already taken substantial actions based on her initial deceptive statements. The judge has refused to resign despite the damning findings against her. Ross was appointed, qualified, and commissioned to serve during good behavior as a United States District Judge for the Northern District of Georgia on November 18, 2014.

Constitutional Accountability at Stake

The impeachment articles represent a serious constitutional action against a sitting federal judge. Federal judges hold lifetime appointments and can only be removed through the impeachment process, which requires a majority vote in the House of Representatives and a two-thirds vote in the Senate for conviction. The charges against Ross center on her false statements to investigators and conduct that undermines public confidence in the federal judiciary. Her refusal to step down voluntarily has prompted Fuller and Jordan to pursue the constitutional remedy of impeachment to address what they characterize as unfitness for judicial office.

  1. Not sure what the judge was thinking (no man is worth my dignity and such unethical behavior) or was she not thinking at all. She has brought shame to herself, her office, her family, his family, and everyone involved. Please pray for her.
