Ex-CIA Analyst Faces Sentence Over Classified Leak Involving Israel

Anti-Israel CIA turncoat gets mere slap on the wrist after sabotaging crucial military operations against Iran. Former intelligence analyst Asif William Rahman will serve just 37 months behind bars for leaking top-secret plans that forced Israel to delay strikes against its enemies.

Deep State Traitor Exposes Israeli Defense Plans

A former CIA analyst with top-secret clearance has been sentenced to just over three years in prison after deliberately leaking classified information about Israel’s planned military strikes against Iran. Asif William Rahman, 34, who worked for the intelligence agency since 2016, pleaded guilty to willfully transmitting and retaining national defense information in a case that exposed sensitive Israeli military preparations.

The leaked documents, which included satellite imagery from the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, detailed Israeli aviation exercises and military movements as the Jewish state prepared to retaliate against Iranian aggression. Rahman’s betrayal forced Israeli officials to delay their planned counterstrikes, potentially endangering allied operations and compromising the integrity of U.S. intelligence capabilities during a period of heightened Middle East tensions.

Calculated Betrayal from Inside U.S. Embassy

Court documents reveal Rahman deliberately accessed and printed two top-secret documents on October 17, 2024, while stationed at the U.S. Embassy in Cambodia. By October 18, these classified materials had appeared on social media platforms including Telegram, exposing critical military information to America’s enemies and jeopardizing operations against terrorist-supporting regimes.

The timing of Rahman’s betrayal was particularly damaging as it came just weeks after Iran had launched nearly 200 ballistic missiles at Israel in early October. This unprovoked attack by the Iranian regime was itself retaliation for Israel’s elimination of senior leaders in the terrorist organizations Hamas and Hezbollah, groups responsible for the October 7, 2023 massacre of Israeli civilians.

Liberal Justice Department Goes Easy on Anti-Israel Leaker

Despite facing potential penalties of up to 20 years in prison, Rahman received a surprisingly light sentence of just 37 months from the Biden-Harris Justice Department. The Yale graduate attempted to conceal his actions by deleting work products, destroying electronic devices, and shredding original documents before his eventual arrest by FBI agents in Cambodia in November 2024.

“For months, this defendant betrayed the American people and the oaths he took upon entering his office by leaking some of our Nation’s most closely held secrets,” said John Eisenberg, Assistant Attorney General for National Security.

Rahman’s betrayal marks yet another security breach within America’s intelligence community under the current administration’s watch. The FBI and Department of Justice officials emphasized the importance of deterring unauthorized disclosures, but the relatively light sentence raises questions about the administration’s commitment to protecting America’s allies and national security interests in the volatile Middle East region.
