Minnesota IT Services confirmed that the cyberattack targeted water system technology throughout the state between Sunday, July 26 and Monday, July 27. At least four cities publicly disclosed the incidents: Plymouth, South St. Paul, Maple Plain, and Braham. All four municipalities reported that they successfully limited or mitigated the attack’s impact, allowing residents to continue normal water usage without interruption. The Minnesota Department of Health confirmed no municipality has asked residents to alter their drinking water consumption.
