Officers documented multiple “NO TRESPASSING” signs posted at the entrance before issuing the citation. When police contacted his mother by phone, Hostin immediately identified herself by her former prosecutor title and television role, footage obtained by Fox News shows.

“My name is Sunny Hostin, and I’m one of the co-hosts of ‘The View’ and I’m a former federal prosecutor,” she tells officers in the recording. After arriving at the scene, she continued pressing her case. “That’s my son. He’s a Harvard graduate. He doesn’t have a criminal record. He’s not a kid who’s ever in trouble. It’s an innocent mistake.”

Officers Explain Leniency Already Given
